Jaiden Downey

Jaiden (he/him) received the Thrive Youth Leadership Award in 2017.
What’s one of your memorable moments from your time with Thrive Youth?
“The most impactful moment I’ve had at Thrive would be receiving the leadership award in 2017 and the overwhelming support that came with it. I experienced a rollercoaster of emotions that night and was fortunate to have been surrounded by genuine people in our small, yet large family that helped in a night of vulnerability, which I still cherish to this day. “
What are you doing now?
“At the moment I work as a morning supervisor at a grocery store during the mornings and have chosen to pursue my forever passion, hockey. I’m an assistant coach for a hockey team during the evenings and an on-ice instructor for two separate hockey programs, teaching kids how to skate, improve their skills, and to play the sport of hockey while also playing in the little free time I have with friends. I’m very grateful for the leadership skills I’ve learned through Thrive and hope to carry them with me along my journey.”
