Molly (she/her) received the Thrive Youth Leadership Award in 2013.

What’s one of your memorable moments from your time with Thrive Youth?

“My greatest memory with Thrive Youth is the day of my award ceremony. Nearly 10 years after receiving the award, it is still one of the proudest days of my life. Being surrounded by people leaders and fellow award recipients was a true example of the sheer amount of change one person can accomplish. I was able to make connections with so many wonderful people, much like Gregory Belton C.V.O, C.M., LL.D. Shortly after the ceremony, I was a valued member of a community-based program for underserved girls, Ladies on The Rise now known as Trust 15 Youth Community Support. I was able to connect Thrive Youth and Mr. Belton with the program founder Marcia Brown to collaborate the astounding resources and knowledge to many young men and women in need. I will forever be thankful to Thrive Youth for seeing the potential in me at such a young age. Thank you, a million times, over.”

What are you doing now?

“I am currently in my senior year at Humber College, completing my degree in Management Studies all while working full time for Yorkdale Shopping Center’s Management Team. Outside of school and work, I devote all of my time to my dog – Roxy, she is a two-year-old American Bully. We spend our time traveling on the TTC exploring the city and learning tons of tricks. Every summer I love to grow an organic garden and share the fruits of my labour with all of my family, friends and colleagues.”
