The DAREarts Leadership Awards show the world the action that young people are taking to affect change in their own lives and communities. Every year, DAREarts selects one young person in each region that we serve who has demonstrated leadership and the DARE values in their own life to receive a DAREarts Leadership Award in recognition of their excellence.
If you are chosen:
Each Leadership Award recipient will receive an engraved Leadership Awards medallion plus a $500 award. We will work with you to create a short and impactful video that showcases who you are and why you’re receiving this special award. The video will be shared broadly on social media, and your story will become part of this year’s brand new “Brave Box”, a fundraising kit that will dare our supporters to be brave and step out of their comfort zones to discover their best selves, just like each of the youth we serve.
Eligibility:
You are eligible to apply if you have participated in a DAREarts program and are at least 12 years old. There is no upper age limit — even if your time in DAREarts was several years ago, you are still eligible to apply for this award.
