Anna has a background in fashion design and journalism. She currently works as the lead a tailor at Making a Mends, a local garment repair and alterations studio. She has strong visualization skills and a knack for garment construction. Anna grew up in Vancouver on the unceded, ancestral land of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm, Skwxwú7mesh, and Selilwitulh Nations and is overjoyed to participate in facilitating programs for youth in the Lower Mainland.
Melissa holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Emily Carr University of Art and Design, where the seeds for her small business were planted. She operates Making a Mends, a garment repair and alterations studio in Vancouver on the unceded, ancestral land of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm, Skwxwú7mesh, and Selilwitulh Nations. Melissa loves all things DIY. She has a passion for sharing her skills and knowledge with others.
